What I Stand For And  Why Change Is Needed

 

Academic Achievement – Does anyone really believe spending 30-50 Million dollars on a “State of the Art” facility will improve “Test Scores.”  Instead we should provide ALL books, supplies and equipment necessary for our educators to do the job they were hired to do. AND - How can we attract "High Quality Educators" when we can't keep the ones we have?

Taxes – I do not approve of any tax increase as a result of poor planning or budget deficits due to out of control spending.  

Zero Tolerance - Truancy Court, Play Props, Five Year Old children in Court – This insanity must stop.  What has happened to our society?  Have we lost all logic and common sense when dealing with problems and issues like these?

Transparency/Accountability - 120 Million Dollar surplus – 30 to 50 Million Dollar pork-barrel Science Center – Millions of dollars wasted on software that doesn’t work - ALL DECIDED OR HIDDEN FROM TAXPAYERS WITH NO PARENT OR TAXPAYER INPUT

Oversight – Hidden investments - No Tolerance Rules – Land Deals – Schools that do not meet Texas minimum education requirements – Excessive Salaries for Administrators – What are FBISD’s Investments really worth?  Were they with Madoff or Stanford? Who knows?
